Anne and Gundy of http://www.brainsonbikes.org
My friends’ daughter-in-law Anne Feeley was diagnosed with brain cancer and told by her doctors to “say her goodbyes”. Statistics for people with brain cancer are very grim. Yet Anne fought it and beat it through radiation, chemo, and sheer grit. With the help of a trainer, Anne has got her body back into condition to ride a bicycle across America in order to publicize the need for more Brain Cancer Awareness and better treatment options. Her website Brainsonbikes has a lot more information on how you can donate, sponsor, or even ride along all or part of the way with Anne, her friend Gundy, and her little dog Walter. The website has a cool interactive map that will allow you to track their journey across America in real time. There is already a clock ticking down the time (20 days from now) to the bike ride that will begin in San Francisco and end in Washington, DC. Please visit http:// www.brainsonbikes.org and help support this wonderful cause any way you can.
