OLD SPICE MAN ON A HORSE: (Who Cares About His Feng Shui?)
As soon as I saw Isaiah Mustafa in the hilarious Old Spice ad on TV around Valentine’s Day, I knew he would become a star. Yes, the ad itself is funny. (He jumps from scene to scene culminating in his being on a horse and he says “I’m on a horse!”. ) But it’s Mustafa’s personality –and pecs!– that jumps off the screen.
Old Spice first launched the hit commercial on its facebook page when they noticed 25% of its fans were female. The viral marketing has paid off with 4 million views of The Man Your Man Could Smell Like video on uTube to date. There’s even an internet surge to get Mustafa to host Saturday Night Live (if the Betty White facebook campaign is an indicator of success, we should be seeing the man on the horse on SNL sometime soon).
