TEENY TINY RUGS

Can you guess the size of these two exquisite rugs? I’ll give you a hint: they are made for doll houses. The Peacock Rug is only 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and the Tree Rug is 5 1/2″ x 7″. Both are the handywork of Pat Richards, a NYC-based designer and author of a series of craft how-to books including “101 Christmas Crafts: Ornaments, Decorations, and Gifts” . An expert needleworker and freelance designer, Pat’s passion is for miniatures. These rugs plus miniature furniture and accessories by Pat and others will be on view and for sale at the Chicago International Miniatures Show this weekend. We love all things hand made and we love the idea of doll houses having good feng shui.
