YOU DECIDE: Should the Obamas Pay for White House Re-do?

Check out CNN which reported today that the Obamas plan to use their own money to redecorate the White House. Call me old fashioned, but although I admire the Obamas deeply for their intentions here, I believe they should not have to use out of pocket funds on America’s national treasure aka the White House (that just happens to be where they live). Sure, why not? After all, even Lincoln’s wife left his stuff in the bedroom after her hubby was laid to rest. You think the Yanks paid for that during the great war?

Our tax dollars is already being spent on other things in the white house. Have you ever taken a tour there?

I did three times, believe me, we spend enough tax dollars on the white house. Wake up and smell the feng shui!

Thanks for commenting. I believe our White House is a national landmark and treasure and as such we need to maintain it to the highest standards. It represents all of us to the world.

Glad to comment. I found your site through the feng shui tag because I was rearranging my apartment after the light bulb came on while reading some feng shui stuff online.

I can’t argue with you on the White House being a landmark. It is certainly a representation of what kind of political power we are, allowing people to rotate in and out every 4 or 8 years.

If it was a case of restoring a wing or expanding the white house, then by all means, use my tax dollars. But if it’s to redecorate for personal tastes, let them pay for it.

After all, the next president will do the same thing all over again. I don’t want to pay for that every four years.

I am curious about something, should electronics be in the southeast corner (since water conduct electricity) ? Feel free to check my photos and provide some feedback.

I practice a form school of feng shui known as “Black Hat Sect Tibetan Buddhist” school (or BHS for short). We reference everything by location of the bagua map instead of the compass.
